Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence in my personal opinion is a topic that although has been around throughout time, has only taken up the headlines in recent years. Whether through verbal or physical abuse, no one, no matter what gender, age, race, etc. should ever experience this gruesome act. While in society today stories of Domestic Violence and justice for victims are reoccurring, several others go unheard of, with more suffering to continue for victims.

Probably my first revealing to this issue was in middle school, when video of then-Baltimore Ravens football player Ray Rice punching his spouse in and Atlantic City elevator had surfaced to mainstream media. While reaction amount my peers was varied, this event revealed to me the issues of this world and individuals, along with the necessity of proper communication and healthy relationships. People overall must be more aware and ready to stop any form of domestic violence surrounding them. The more people comdemning this act, the potentially safer and understanding relationships can be for everyone.
